Hi, I’m Jeff!
And this is my dog, Sabé →
I first met Sabé when I was his trainer at Bergin College of Canine studies, a service dog training school in Northern California. We lived in Arizona for a few years after I graduated with an Associates degree in dog behavior, and have been in Maine since 2022.
I attended Bergin to become a dog trainer, but found that I enjoyed photographing the dogs more than training them, so I went a slightly different route than I planned to.
I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like, or a dog that didn’t like me (of course there are some dogs who don’t like new people right away, but I always win them over eventually).
I’ve been a self-taught photographer since 2011 and have a wide range of photographic interests, but dogs have always been my favorite subjects.
You can check out my other photography services such as cat and human portraits on my personal website www.jefffarrellphotography.com
I work with dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages. Before each photoshoot is a complimentary consultation where I can meet your dog and we can get comfortable with one another, as well as talk about ideas for the shoot such as location, types of photos you would like, etc. If your dog is not fond of strangers and we need to meet a couple times before the shoot, that’s no problem! We can take as much time as we need so your four-legged friend is comfortable and at ease.
